The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Development and Reform Commission recently issued a notice requiring localities to strictly control the energy consumption of landscape lighting such as public facilities and large buildings, strictly control the scale of landscape lighting construction, and resolutely eliminate low-efficiency lighting products.
       The two departments require that all localities should strictly prohibit the construction of landscape lighting projects with excessive brightness and energy consumption. It is strictly forbidden to use high-brightness and high-energy lamps such as powerful searchlights, high-power floodlights and large-area neon lights in landscape lighting.
